![]() Can a new ‘original-look’ tire still be had for a reasonable price somewhere? (ie, Coker, etc) What standard size(s) does the original Michelin 185/15 tire equate to? I did some research about replacements, but haven’t found info that addresses my questions directly… I’m not after performance-type race-handling or anything, just something that can get down the road smoothly and inexpensively. Therefore, I’m going to endure something less expensive for awhile. If I went for Red-Lines again (which I really really like and plan to go back to again when i can, they look so sexy to me), I’d have to live in the car under a bridge somewhere for the foreseeable future. Fortunately, the spare was a good one and got me home. However, tires moved up very quickly in priority over the weekend when the inside sidewall actually developed a split radiating out from the nail-hole that I’d patched the day before. So I didn’t plan to do anything with them anytime soon until I got some of the other mechanical issues under control. When I bought the car a couple months ago, the Red-Lines still had plenty of rubber on them and looked very good (altho I was afraid to research the date-code info for what I might find)). I didn't want to dilute anyone else's thread, so I started a new one.
